Since 2008, Findlay has been dedicated to helping the community through a number of well-known initiatives within the Ticats organization over the years. Below are just some of the ways that Findlay has supported Hamilton charities and organizations with the team.
Each year, Findlay and the Ticats team up to give to the John Howard Society of Hamilton. The organization works with at-risk youth living in poverty and provides them with opportunities to succeed in life through a broad range of community services.
For every interception made by the Ticats, Findlay donates $250. For every “pick six” where the Ticats defense scores a touchdown on an interception, Findlay doubles their donation to $500.
In 2018, Findlay Lawyers were the presenting partner of the Designated Diver program. During the regular season, fans could register online to take the pledge to be a Designated Driver for friends and family during games. Following each regular season home game, a Designated Driver is selected to win a signed Ticats jersey.
In 2017, Findlay Lawyers helped establish a safe and fun area for kids to play at Tim Horton’s field while allowing parents to enjoy the game. Stripes’ Jungle is located behind section 109.
In 2018, Findlay and the Ticats created the Ticats Tykes initiative that was focused on the youngest Ticats fans. 500 “Hamilton Proud” onesies were created and made available for fans who entered online to receive their free baby onesie, courtesy of Findlay Lawyers. Fans were encouraged to share photos of their little ones repping the Hamilton Proud onesies on social media.
Findlay is the presenting partner of Gameday Lineups, whereby fans can line up with a donation to the Salvation Army. Gameday Lineups are Findlay’s way of raising funds to support this incredible Hamilton organization.
