Her work involves helping clients understand their legal options and navigate the claims process following an injury, denied disability claim, property damage dispute, or workplace dispute.
Education & Legal Experience
Karly earned her Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Windsor in 2020. She also holds a Master of Arts from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts (honours) from Syracuse University.
Karly has been practicing law in Ontario since 2021. Her legal experience includes significant involvement in AIG v. Riddell, a matter involving procedural fairness before the License Appeal Tribunal (LAT). Prior to working in insurance law, Karly was a clinic lawyer who handled housing, employment, and small claims matters. As a summer and articling student, Karly worked for the Ministry of Labour, Training, and Skills Development on various ESA and OHSA matters.
She was awarded the JD Whiteside Award by her peers in 2020 and was extensively involved throughout law school in a variety of associations and activities.

Karly became a lawyer because she wanted to help people. She takes a relatable approach to client service, helping clients feel comfortable asking questions and understanding what to expect throughout the legal process.
Karly enjoys connecting with people and contributing to outcomes that can make a meaningful difference in their lives.

She is also involved with the Hamilton Public Library and values being connected to the community she serves.
Outside the Office
Outside of her legal practice, Karly enjoys Pilates, running, reading romance novels, drawing, and crafting. She also spends much of her time with her two children, keeping up with their many activities throughout the Hamilton area.
