Eric Findlay

Eric Findlay

Lawyer

Eric was recently called to the Bar in September of 2016. Eric obtained an Honours degree in Economics from Brock University in St. Catharines. He then obtained his law degree from La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia in 2014.

Prior to his call, Eric was provided the invaluable opportunity to article under Patrick Lennon. Under Patrick’s direction and guidance, Eric was tasked with conducting legal research and aiding in the preparation of discoveries, mediations and trials. He observed effective negotiation practices that were perfected through years of experience. This provided Eric with first-hand experiences on how to get the best results possible for our clients.

What Eric likes most about working in personal injury law is the chance to aid people who have experienced life changing injuries by helping them recover the compensation necessary to move past this difficult moment in their lives. It’s about making a difference and helping people return to their pre-incident health. Each day brings new challenges and Eric is ready to take them head-on.

Eric’s current practice involves all areas of personal injury law including:

  • Motor vehicle accidents
  • Slip and fall accidents
  • Dog bites
  • Assaults

Eric regularly attends the Superior Court of Justice and has represented clients at the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board.

Outside the Office

Wrestling the Bone Away

Eric and his girlfriend, Stephanie, have welcomed a new addition to their family, a Maltipoo by the name of Henry. He loves annoying his older sister, Lily, and pulling off the blankets when you’re trying to sleep in on a Saturday morning.

Hitting the Slopes

Since he was 12 years old, Eric has been an avid skier. He enjoys being able to take in the beautiful scenery while spending time with friends and family on the hills.

Serving Up Strikes

Eric recently joined a bowling league in Burlington and has taken up a real knack for the sport. He might not be hitting 300 games but he’s definitely reduced the amount of gutter balls he’s been getting.

Staying Local

Eric, Stephanie, Lily and Henry recently moved to Burlington and have been enjoying the city ever since. They are fortunate enough to still be close to their family and friends in the Hamilton area and catch the occasional Ti-Cats game.
