Katie recognizes that her clients are often confused, frustrated and anxious when facing the prospect of dealing with their insurance companies and the legal system following an accident. She makes it a priority to ensure that her clients understand the process while also ensuring that they are taking advantage of every avenue of treatment and funding that’s available to help them get back on their feet. Katie loves the team approach that Findlay Law Office has towards managing their files and feels as though it is this approach that gets the firm’s clients optimum results.
Katie Sandford is a licensed Paralegal with Findlay Law Office and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree (Hons) from the University of Guelph, with a specialty in Human Kinetics. Following her graduation in 2005, Katie obtained her Certified Kinesiology designation and went on to work in a clinical setting, providing treatment to injured people and helping to restore as much of their pre-accident level of functioning as possible. Kinesiology, the study of human movement, may sound like a strange strength in a legal office. But when your clients are individuals who’ve experienced personal injuries, the combination of paralegal and kinesiologist is a perfect fit.
Katie has worked at Findlay Personal Injury Lawyers since early 2007 and obtained her paralegal license in 2008. Using her legal and clinical background she independently manages statutory accident benefits (or “no-fault”) car insurance claims and assists our lawyers with lawsuits. She works closely with her clients, medical providers and the insurance companies to make sure that her clients are getting the benefits they really need and deserve.
